Yak folk are large, monstrous humanoids that dwell within secluded mountain peaks and valleys. Physically, they resemble shaggy, humanoid yaks that walk on their hind feet. Slightly smaller than minotaurs, they are well built, well groomed, and well dressed. They dabble in magic, and can summon janni to do their bidding. Their most insidious power, however, is their innate ability to "body meld" with humanoids and giants, disappearing inside their host as they take control of them.[1]
On the continent of Xen'drik, the cold high peaks are home to the yak folk. Travelers, drow, and giants who venture too close to their mountain dwellings risk becoming their victims.[2]
