Wrogar ir'Wynarn (? – 920 YK) was a prince of Galifar and later king of Aundair at the commencement of the Last War.[2][3]
Relations[]
Wrogar was the fourth child of King Jarot ir'Wynarn and the older twin of Princess Wroann.[2][4] He was succeeded by his daughter, Queen Wrella ir'Wynarn.[1]
History[]
Prince Wrogar assumed his role as Governor-prince of Aundair in 892 YK.[1]
Prince Wrogar was the only child of King Jarot present when his father died in 894 YK. The king named his eldest daughter, Princess Mishann of Cyre, his heir and made his son swear to support her and preserve the nearly 900-year rule of precedence for succession of the crown.[5]
However, Prince Thalin of Thrane, Prince Kaius of Karrnath, and Princess Wroann of Breland refused to accept Princess Mishann as Queen of Galifar.[2][5] Wrogar was able to prevent a violent confrontation in person, but was unable to prevent the Last War breaking out over the succession.[6] Wrogar declared himself King of Aundair in late 894 YK with the blessings of his older sister Mishann, who had now assumed the title of Queen of Cyre and United Galifar.[5]
Wrogar ruled Aundair until his death in a hunting accident in the Eldeen Reaches in 920 YK. While some suspected foul play, it was never proven.[7]
