Tribex are a kind of large ungulate native to Khorvaire.[2]
Description[]
All forms of tribex share a few key features: triple horns, bony headplate, and a lionlike tail.[2][3][4]
- Keith Baker's commentary.
The distinct types of tribex are:
- Plains tribex, the original form of tribex, which are used for hauling or raised as livestock.[1]
- Riding tribex, a magebred form of tribex produced by House Vadalis as a sure-footed mount famed for its endurance.[1]
- War tribex, a magebred form of tribex produced by House Vadalis as a mount that possesses forward-sweeping horns.[1]
Ecology[]
Tribex are known to live in the Talenta Plains, where plains halflings drive them using their dinosaur mounts.[2][3][4]
Usage[]

A halfling on a clawfoot driving a herd of tribex in the Talenta Plains.
Halfling ranchers of the Talenta Plains raise them as livestock and for their meat.[2][3][4] Flame-grilled tribex meat is even served at House Ghallanda's Gold Dragon Inn, such as in the Calabas (the Kennel) of Graywall.[5]

Notes[]
No statistics for tribex have been listed in official Eberron products, but the Kknon Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone offers statblocks for varieties of tribex.
Hobgoblins are also depicted riding tribex in official art.[2]
Keith Baker has suggested on his website that tribex have a large range across Khorvaire and that there may be varying kinds across different climate regions.[6]
