The Dreaming Dark is a trilogy of novels by Keith Baker—the first by the creator of the Eberron setting—published in 2005 and 2006. It follows the journeys of the Cyran soldier Daine, artificer and dragonmarked heir Lei d'Cannith, the warforged Pierce, and the halfling healer Jode from their time in the Last War to the Brelish city of Sharn, the continent of Xen'drik, and even the outer planes.
The three novels are:
- The City of Towers (February 1, 2005)
- The Shattered Land (February 7, 2006)
- The Gates of Night (November 7, 2006)
While having some links to the later books, The City of Towers is in many ways independent of the second two books as Keith Baker always saw it like a pilot to a series.[citation needed] Books 2 and 3 have a tighter continuity and work as a two-part story.
