Syla Syrralan d'Sivis is a gnome artificer and unbound scroll and member of the Ninth College of House Sivis.[2] Her full titles are Lady Syla Syrralan d'Sivis, Doyen of the Ninth College, Keeper of the Eightieth Word, Unbound Scroll, and Wordsmith.[1]
Activities[]
Working within the Ninth College's arcane workshops in Korranberg, Zilargo, Syla focuses her studies on the Draconic Prophecy. She theorizes that key clues to understanding it may be found in the dialect of Draconic used by the kobolds of the Seawall Mountains. So sure is she of this theory that she undertakes expeditions into the deep mountains to consult kobold mystics. Since many kobolds dislike gnomes, Syla also seeks to hire adventurers for her protection.[1]
For her work, she crafts inks from the blood of rare and dangerous aberrations, a practice that has cost her a fortune.[1]
Abilities[]
Syla possesses a lesser Mark of Scribing, giving her the powers of arcane mark and secret page, in addition to her abilities as an artificer and an unbound scroll with its linguistic gifts.[2]
Possessions[]
She is equipped with scrolls of cure moderate wounds, dimension door, fireball, invisibility, ray of enfeeblement, and scorching ray, kept in an infinite scrollcase. She wears bracers of armor +3 and a ring of protection +1, and cloak of resistance +1. She also has a Heward's handy haversack and fights with a well-crafted dagger and light crossbow with a score of bolts.[2]
