Saeria Lantol is an elf necromancer and lich from the island of Farlnen in the northern Lhazaar Principalities and sentenced to the Deep Ward of Dreadhold.[1]
History[]
Saeria Lantol became the head of a cabal of necromancers serving Lady Vol known as the Talons of Ice in 545 YK. Vol ordered them to spread terror in the Five Nations, which they did in the mid–6th century.[1]
Although victorious at first, Saeria grew over-confident and was eventually defeated by a joint force of the knights of Dol Arrah, Purified of the Silver Flame, and Karrnathi soldiers. The Talons of Ice were all slain. However, Saeria could not be destroyed because she would've simply been reconstituted at her phylactery, the location of which was unknown. Thus, she was taken prisoner and imprisoned in Dreadhold.[1]
The location of her phylactery remains unknown.[1]
Activities[]
For over four centuries, Saeria has been chained to the wall of her cell in Dreadhold's Deep Ward, which is reserved for only the most dangerous prisoners. As she does not need to eat or drink, she has had no contact with living creatures for the length of her sentence.[1]
Saeria was once a servant of Lady Vol, and as such may have knowledge of her plans, the Order of the Emerald Claw, or the Blood of Vol, albeit 400 years out of date.[1]
