A pegasus is a type of winged horse native to the plane of Syrania.[2] On the Material Plane they are trained by House Vadalis in enclaves like Sharn and Varna to serve as winged mounts.[2][3]
History[]
At some point the representative Tyllenvane d'Orien attempted to have the pegasus replace the unicorn as the emblem of House Orien.[1]

As one of the fastest racers, the pegasus is often targeted first.
A pegasus represents the Highwater district of Sharn in the Race of Eight Winds, and currently has the most wins. The race's pegasus is usually supported and trained by House Vadalis, which some critics view as unfair.[4][5]
