Orlassk, known as the Master of Stone[1] or Lord of Stone,[2] is a daelkyr who is known to still exist on Eberron through their cults and legends, though in the present day they are thought to roam the chasms of Khyber in a citadel that is carved into the body of a gargantuan gargoyle.[1]
Orlassk is said to have created many monstrosities and aberrations with the power of petrification, including basilisks, medusas, gorgons, and cockatrices.[1] There is some dispute to these claims, however, as whilst the Gatekeepers hold firm that Orlassk is responsible for the creation of medusas, the medusa priests of Cazhaak Draal claim they were created by the Shadow.[3] Nevertheless, records from the Gatekeepers show that the medusas clearly at least fought on the side of the daelkyr during the battle for Cazhaak Draal.[2]
Being a creature of magic, Orlassk has powers that no wizard would ever be able to learn, though it was thought that people would be able to learn new secrets to transmutation by studying either one of Orlassk's workshops or simply one of their creations.[2]
