Nagas are immortal intelligent serpents.[1]
Types[]
There are a variety of nagas with different abilities and goals. For instance, guardian nagas tend to be wise and good protectors, while spirit nagas tend be spiteful masterminds.[1] Known varieties are:
- Dark naga
- Guardian naga[note 1]
- Spirit naga
- Water naga
Society[]
Naga may guard artifacts, planar portals, or manifestations of the Prophecy.[4]
Lands[]
Nagas are one of many creatures that can be encountered in Xen'drik.[5] They do not always dwell alone, but have been seen leading other creatures like mephits or even yuan-ti.[6]
On Khorvaire, nagas have been found leading Cults of the Dragon Below in Sharn[7][8] and as guardians beneath the city in the sewers,[4] as guardians in the halls of Arcanix,[9] and in the wilds of the Shadow Marches.[10][11] Spirit nagas are known to dwell in the swamps of the Shadow Marches, and Basura Swamp in Q'barra, alongside their nagatha servitors.[11]
