Mistmarsh is a hamlet on the southern edge of the swamp of the same name. The good soil and temperate weather have allowed the farming community to enjoy a higher than average standard of living, and the ir'Clarns, who govern the county, get along well with the local populace.
Some of the citizens make annual trips into the Faded Forest to seek the magical acorns which grow there, selling them to supplement their income.
Lord ir'Clarn is negotiating with Orien to get the lightning rail line that passes south of the village into Zilargo, to be moved so that it passes through the outskirts of Mistmarsh, but the cost of such an adjustment has so far prevented any kind of action from being taken.
