Mistmarsh is a hamlet in Breland, lying in the county of Clarn on the southern edge of the swamp of the same name.[1][2]
Economy[]
The good soil and temperate weather have allowed this farming community to enjoy a higher-than-average standard of living.[2]
Some of the villagers, particularly the more daring youths, make annual trips into the Faded Forest to seek the magical acorns that grow there, selling them to supplement their income. Each family has its secret places for finding favored oak trees such as dragonseye and ghost oak. Such expeditions are hazardous, but well-organized.[2]
Government[]
Alben ir'Clarn is the local sheriff and the son of Lord Ruken ir'Clain. He gets along well with the local populace, being respected and a friend to the villagers. However, they worry he does not heed their warnings about the dangers of Mistmarsh Swamp as much he ought to.[2]
