Laranak is one of the thirteen great dwarf clans of the Mror Holds.[2][3]
Base[]
It is based at Laranakhold in the central Ironroot Mountains, and includes the southwestern part of Mirror Lake.[2]
Relationships[]
It has a long-standing feud with Londurak, another of the clans of the Holds. This feud is famous among dwarves. The councilors oppose each other on any issue, out of reflex and ancestral hatred rather than any rational basis. The other clans were forced to ply them both with gifts to get them to work together long enough for the clans to show a united face at the Treaty of Thronehold. Since then, the feud has died down, at least in public, but animosity still runs high, hidden by a veil of decorum and waged through shifting alliances and outmaneuvering.[2]
The Laranek clan have long-standing business ties to Breland.[1]
