General Kolas Verdgrin is a disgraced former general sentenced to Dreadhold by King Boranel for war crimes committed during his military service to Breland over the Last War.[1]

General Kolas Verdgrin was a celebrated general for the army of Breland during the Last War. His bloodlust increased as the length of his service drew on, and King Boranel grew concerned by his actions on the battlefield.[1]
After Kolas ordered the massacre of a peaceful monastery in Cyre in 994 YK, Boranel ir'Wynarn discharged him from the military and consigned him to the Warding Guild of House Kundarak, to serve out a lifelong sentence in the Golden Ward of Dreadhold.[1]

General Kolas Verdgrin is a handsome human man in his early forties. He has blonde hair with a widow's peak and a neat goatee.[1]
Kolas appears charming and hides his menacing nature.[1]

General Kolas Verdgrin is a charismatic and brutal battlefield commander. He still has devotees in Breland, where some believe his ruthless temperament may be necessary should the Last War start anew.[1]
