Lord Hadran d'Cannith was an important member of House Cannith, being a dragonmarked lord.[1]
Activities[]
He was a wealthy and influential man, and he had spent a fortune on inquisitives, messengers, and diviners. He was a believer in Olladra, a goddess of the Sovereign Host.[1]
Description[]
His trappings spoke of his health and power. He had a gray mustache that he usually chewed on, a habit his first wife had always despised.[1]
In his home in the city of Sharn, the floors were covered with soft Sarlonan carpets, each one embroidered with a labyrinthine pattern of twisting, thorny angles. Portraits and glamerweave tapestries adorned the walls, depicting the glorious deeds of his Cannith ancestors. Dominating the room was a vast darkwood desk, its surface covered in golden sigils that glittered in the firelight.[1]
History[]
In 993 YK, Lei d'Cannith was his betrothed. Her parents organized a wedding between them. When the Mourning occurred he feared the worst, but he always clung to an ember of hope.[1]
In 996 YK, he discovered that Lei was alive and had escaped the Day of Mourning. But that night he was assassinated in his own home.[1]
Appendix[]
Notes[]
This Hadran d'Cannith is not to be confused with the founder of the Twelve, also called Hadran d'Cannith, but is likely named for him
