Frost giants are blue-skinned giants who live in the coldest reaches of Xen'drik and Everice.[1][4][5] Frost giants also reside in Risia.[6]

Description[]

Frost giants resemble blue-skinned humanoids, but stand about 21 feet tall. Often bearded, their hair tends to be a light blue or white color.[1]

History[]

Most scholars agree that there was one race of giants during the Age of Giants, and that it was after the fall of the giants 40,000 years ago that they splintered into different kinds of giants. However, a small faction of scholars disagree and hold the opinion that the different kinds of giants, including frost giants, were present before the collapse.[7]

After the destruction of Xen'drik by the dragons, many giants fled to Everice. Their frost giants descendants have not forgotten the destruction and plan vengeance, often doing battle with a clan of white dragons sent to keep the giants in check.[5]

Notable Frost Giants[]

  • Eskelia, a leader of a frost giant tribe who was ambushed and murdered by her rivals, but returned as a ghost.[8]
  • Thraalgrum, head of a clan of frost giants in service to the dragon Ketheptis in the Bluespine Peaks of Xen'drik.[9]

Myths and Legends[]

There are rumors of a frost giant lich in the mountains of northern Xen'drik.[10]
