Flinds are humanoid creatures related to gnolls. They are particularly strong and vicious gnolls that can command their war band. While flinds are admired and respected by their lesser cousins, there is no love in the end for the superior breed. If not found in a leadership role over other gnolls, flinds often wind up as solitary hunters.[3]

Description[]

A flind is similar in appearance to a gnoll, being a bit shorter and broader in stature. A typical flind stands 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and weighs about 300 to 350 pounds (140 to 160 kilograms). Aside from the size difference, flinds have less of a slope in their skull structure and their ears were more rounded.[3]

Culture[]

They lead their war bands into battle wielding flails imbued with magic known as a "flindbar."[1]

Notable Flinds[]

  • Yerod Toothdiver: a famed flind thunder guide who led a troop of gnolls on a journey into the interior of Argonnessen some eleven months ago, and now seeks to escape the Vast with his troop of five gnolls. He earned his sobriquet through diving into the ocean of Shargon's Teeth to battle sahuagin and allow his crew time to sail through, and then return to the shores of Stormreach six days later still alive.[4]
