Fire giants are militaristic giants who live near volcanoes and mountains in Xen'drik.[1][4][5]
History[]
Most scholars agree that there was one race of giants during the Age of Giants, and that it was after the fall of the giants 40,000 years ago that they splintered into different kinds of giants, including fire giants. However, a small faction of scholars disagree and hold the opinion that the different kinds of giants were present before the collapse.[6]
Fire giants are believed to be descendants of the Sul'at League, a fierce society of giants around 40,000 years ago.[7] The Sul'at League were powerful magic users who followed in the footsteps of Adaxus, the first fire giant according to legend. They were very skilled at elemental binding, and are believed to have created the drow. The Sul'at were destroyed along with the other ancient giant civilizations, but their ruins still remain, inhabited by the Sulatar drow.[8]
Around 974 YK, Gorodan Ashlord was exiled from Xen'drik by a king of the fire giants.[9][10]
