A favored soul is a priest with an easy ability to channel divine power.[1]
Description[]
While clerics gain divine favor and power through worship and devotion, the favored soul is a chosen champion of a deity's cause. Just as sorcerers can wield arcane magic with no aid of a spellbook or years of training, so too does a favored soul use divine magic with similar ease. Whether for good or ill, a favored soul is bound to their deity in a way that even the most devout cleric could never understand.[1]
Society[]
Favored souls are devoted to individual deities of the Sovereign Host and the Dark Six, rather than the pantheons as a whole, while some follow other faiths.[2]
