Farlnen is an island within the northern region of the Lhazaar Principalities. Controlled by elves who fled Aerenal after the destruction of House Vol, the cold realm is ruled by Lady Erandis Vol herself, operating from her stronghold of Illmarrow Castle. For this reason, she watches the rest of the isles closely, intent on garnering allies among the sea princes as the Blood of Vol slowly spreads across the realm.[1]
Farlnen is icy and is the greatest stronghold of the forces of the Blood of Vol.[1]
The Bloodsails are based out of the city of Port Cairn on this island.[2]
