The Wiki Chronicle

Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown: Prince Oargev.
- Thanking the Traveler for a safe journey, I arrived in New Cyre and found the refugee camp turned town to be a thriving image of my lost Cyre. But I had no time to explore, I had a meeting with Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn himself. I worked with him during the War, and find him older and wearier, but no less inspiring. With little preamble, he showed me my task: a pile of assorted books, documents, and notes, many damaged or fragmentary—all that remains of Cyre's history, records, and libraries, which I must collate and preserve. I have my work cut out for me, but I get to work, starting at the capital: Metrol, the Rising City. Then my own home, the city of Making, followed by Eston, Seaside, and other cities and towns. On the way, I describe Cyran rulers from Cyre ir'Wynarn to Queen Dannel, the tago dance, the diaspora of survivors, and more. Because Old Cyre must be documented for New Cyre to be born.

Metrol is the former capital of the Kingdom of Galifar and of the nation Cyre, but now a haunted ruin in the Mournland. Named the Rising City for the buildings that sat atop towering, sky-scraping columns of stone, Metrol was once a great metropolis and famed for its beauty. Here were the seven Royal Palaces of Vermishard high on the towers; the Cathedral of the Sovereign Host on its hill; the Metrol Arena; and the Vault, the mint and treasure of old Galifar; as well as a House Cannith workshop and House Phiarlan's previous Demesne of Shadow. Now the ruined city is strangely changed, with parts relocated or rotated, or else missing. By day, the streets are empty, bar the occasional scavengers or explorers. By night, so-called "ghostbeasts" prowl and howl and slaughter those caught out after dark.New & Upcoming Releases
