Dral Khatuur, called the Heart of Winter and the Killing Cold, is one of the fiendish Overlords that ruled Eberron during the Age of Demons. She has dominion over cold and winter.

Description

She represents the relentless cold of winter and, more specifically, the innate fear mortals have of the unknown and untraversable frost. The supernatural horrors of the Frostfell are explained by some as the presence of this Overlord trapped beneath the ice or within the unnatural cold itself, but no mortal knows for sure. Dral Khatuur embodies mortal fears of cold, winter, and darkness.

Even the immortal Lords of Dust are said to fear her, as none in their ranks serve Dral Khatuur or work toward her release.

Dral Khatuur maintains no known followers among the Lords of Dust and seems to have no affinity for the rakshasa as many other known Overlords do.

Background

Dral Khatuur was originally meant for content related to the continent of Frostfell. Ultimately, the Overlord never appeared in any published works from Wizards of the Coast, but Keith Baker has talked about her at some length on his blog.
