The clone mask is an artifact-level warforged component that transforms a warforged into a multi-limbed monstrosity that is devastating in battle and extremely bolsters most of its natural abilities,.[1]
Description[]
It appears to be a fragile, ceramic face-plate, but appearances can be deceiving. It is striking in design, with a blue-colored, frowning face on one half of the face-plate and a red-colored smiling face on the other. The mask can be fastened to the face of a warforged using four short chains, made of an unknown alloy, that wrap around the warforged's head. Despite its seemingly fragile construction, the mask is extremely resistant to damage.[1]
Usage[]
It can only be used by a warforged with great combat prowess.[1]
Powers[]
When activated with the command word, it transforms the warforged's entire body. The upper torso splits in two along the line of the mask, with the two halves each reforming into a new upper torso with its own pair of arms and head. To support this greater upper-body mass, the warforged's lower body grows wider and thicker and a third leg sprouts from it. The transformation takes several seconds, but the warforged can defend itself during the process.[1]
While the transformed warforged has two heads, its mind remains unchanged and singular. However, it can see and hear somewhat better and is not vulnerable when being flanked by enemies. If one head is cut off or destroyed, the warforged transforms back and is stunned for a dozen or so seconds, but suffers no further damage.[1]
Having three legs to support it, the warforged is much more stable against being tripped, shoved, or wrestled. It can also wield larger weapons without impediment, though it cannot reach further. In addition, being generally larger and more massive, the warforged is also more resilient and harder for monsters or grab or swallow.[1]
With four arms, the warforged may attack more often in battle. It may also grapple a foe with one pair of arms while fighting freely with the other, or even grapple two foes at once.[1]
This transformation works once a day and for no longer than an hour.[1]
