Cannith goggles are a set of magical eye-wear designed by House Cannith to enhance the vision of human explorers who went in search of lore and artifacts in the dark depths of Khyber and Xen'drik.[1]
Description[]
The key component of Cannith goggles is the lenses; crafted from magically hardened glass stained a light orange, they are round and translucent. These are mounted in a flexible metal frame on a soft leather strap, which clasps behind the wearer's head. The whole ensemble weighs 0.5 pounds (230 grams).[1]
Effects[]
The goggles grant enhanced vision to the wearer, letting them clearly spot and find hidden things, and anyone can make use of them in this way. However, artificers can use their infusions to enhance their Cannith goggles, taking ten minutes and these enhanced effects last for 24 hours. According to the power of the infusion, the Cannith goggles grant an artificer abilities such as low-light vision and darkvision, to 60 feet (18 meters) or 120 feet (37 meters). A few variant pairs can even bestow true seeing to to 30 feet (9.1 meters) for ten minutes.[1]
Creation[]
Manufacturing them requires a hardening spell or infusion.[1]
