A calendar is a system of organizing days, weeks, months, and years. There are a number of different calendars used by the people of Eberron, but the most common is the Galifar Calendar in Khorvaire and the calendar of the Unity of Riedra in Sarlona. A number of religious groups also keep their own calendars.
Khorvaire[]
The main calendar used on Khorvaire is the Galifar Calendar, which dates years from the founding of the kingdom of Galifar.[1] The calendar is also used in Stormreach.[2]
Sarlona[]
Most of the continent of Sarlona is split between two primary calendars. The Unity of Riedra dates years from the unification of the Sarlona kingdoms 1300 years ago, but this is mainly used by the Inspired, and most of the population of Riedra do not use any calendar. The region of Adar instead uses the Age of Taratai, dating years from the arrival of Taratai to Adar and the founding of the kalashtar.[3]
In the Tashana Tundra, a number of different calendar systems are used by the dwarves and shifters in that land.[3]
Religious Calendars[]
A number of religious groups keep their own calendars, including the Sovereign Host's Sovereign Book of Seasons,[4] the Dark Six Calendar,[5] the Qabalrin Wheel used by the Blood of Vol,[6] and the dating systems used by followers of the Becoming God.[7]
