Lord Cail d'Deneith was a mercenary commander and a high-ranking member of House Deneith who is remembered for being the first to recruit goblin mercenaries into Deneith a century ago.[1][2] There is a fort named after Cail in the Deneith enclave in Rhukaan Draal in Darguun.[2]
History[]
In 878 YK, Cail headed the first Deneith expedition into the Seawall Mountains with the aim of finding and recruiting goblinoids for his armies. He did, locating over a dozen tribes and clans across the range and winning the trust of a few chieftains with much gold and clever negotiations. He returned to Breland with a horde of hobgoblin warriors, together with their goblin slaves.[1][3]
