Bronzewood is a type of tree that is found on the island-continent of Aerenal.[1][2][3]
Properties[]
Bronzewood is a hardwood with many of the properties of metal, and can replace metal in crafting arms and armor while keeping a sharp edge. Items made from bronzewood are also less dense than the same items made from metals. However, bronzewood cannot be used to replace the metal in chain weapons.[1]
Usage[]
Aerenal artisans know how to weave suits of leafweave armor from the leaves of the bronzewood tree.[4] These Aereni artisans who know how to craft arms and armor from leaves and trees are known as woodshapers.[2]
Lands[]
Three large bronzewood trees are found within the northern part of the Mystic Glade in western Khorvaire. The trees are actually treants made of bronzewood.[5]
The walls of Taer Valaestas in Valenar are composed of a thicket of thorny bronzewood vines, and the gates are made of bronzewood.[6][7]
