Boroman ir'Dayne is a renowned former explorer and hunter who resides in Fairhaven, Aundair.[2] After contracting a wasting curse on his last expedition, Boroman founded the Wayfinder Foundation to continue to explore Eberron.[2][3][4]
History[]
Boroman ir'Dayne became renowned as an explorer in his youth. He was the first halfling to venture into Xen'drik and return, and he led the only successful expedition to land on the Frostfell.[3] Boroman became very wealthy off his reputation as an explorer, but tragedy struck when Boroman contracted a wasting curse on his final expedition to Xen'drik. The wasting curse slowly weakens Boroman's body but leaves his mind untouched. Boroman has sponsored two expeditions to the Xen'drik site where he contracted the curse, but they were unsuccessful in determining the cause.[1]
After contracting the curse, Boroman used his wealth to found the Wayfinder Foundation, an elite organization dedicated to promoting and funding exploration of Eberron. Only the most elite adventurers and explorers are invited to join the foundation, and members travel on expeditions to dangerous locales.[3] While the Wayfinder Foundation is largely a philanthropic endeavor for Boroman, he does hope that a Wayfinder expedition to Xen'drik will eventually uncover a cure for his curse.[3][5]
Rumors & Legends[]
Boroman is rumored to have had an affair with the shifter Wayfinder Kharva Crack-Tusk in Xen'drik during his exploring days.[6]
