An armblade is a magical attached warforged component that gives a warforged an attached weapons.[1][2]
Description[]
It typically takes the form of a large metal cylinder that slips over the hand and forearm of a warforged to attach firmly. At the end is a heavy sword blade with a serrated edge.[1][2] However, they may have any kind of light or heavy melee weapon that may be wielded in one hand.[2][3] It weighs 8 pounds (3.6 kilograms).[1]
Creation[]
Making one requires knowledge of crafting magical weapons and armor and the spell heroism.[1]
Powers[]
One version provides the warforged with the equivalent of a magical +1 bastard sword, though they must be trained in its use. It cannot be disarmed and furthermore the wielder can disarm others more effectively. The wielder may also brace it against a charge, enabling devastating counterattacks.[1] Another version comes in a variety of enchantments and allows the wielder to deal more serious injuries and to more easily take advantage of openings in an enemy's defenses.[2]
Naturally, the armblade must be removed for the warforged to use their hand for other actions.[1][3] Some versions may be retracted into the forearm.[3]
