Alina Lorridan Lyrris is a wealthy gnome and accomplished wizard who made her fortune off of the Khyber dragonshards harvested from her family's gem mine in Zilargo. She is a Platinum Concordian in the Aurum who sits on the Shadow Cabinet. She was nicknamed "Khyber's Daughter" by a writer for the Korranberg Chronicle for her love of chaos as much as the dragonshards.[1][1]

Personality[]
Alina presents herself as a hedonistic socialite. She throws parties and attends galas wherever she goes. But she is actually a brilliant schemer with ties to many criminal groups.[1]

Alina is a talented wizard specializing in transformation, binding, and illusion.[1]
Possessions[]
Many of the pieces of platinum jewelry bearing Khyber shards that she wears have defensive enchantments.[1]
As a member of the Platinum Concord, Alina wears eight plain platinum rings on her fingers, which are worth 100 gp each.[3]
She maintains residences in Aundair (Fairhaven and Stormhome), Breland (Sharn and Wroat), and in every major city in Zilargo.[1]

Alina formerly lived in the city of Metrol in Cyre, and now resides in the Den'iyas district of Sharn.[4]

Alina is an active participant in the secret Shadow Cabinet within the Aurum. She is interested in acquiring unusual Khyber shards. Alina enjoys corruption, and will force noble people to face moral dilemmas, possibly to justify her immorality.[1]

History[]
Not long after she inherited her family holdings, miners discovered one of the richest Khyber dragonshard deposits in Khorvaire within the Lorridan clan gem mines. As a result, Alina Lorridan Lyrris profited from the elemental binding industry's need for Khyber shards, the development of the elemental airship, and elemental weapons for Breland.[1]

Daine worked for Alina Lorridan Lyrris for an extended period of time before joining the Queen's Guard of Cyre in 988 YK.[5] Jode met Alina in 988 YK, when she was dealing in contraband goods in Metrol.[6]
Alina has resided in Sharn for the last few years.[2]

Her menagerie of birds is rumored to be made up of polymorphed people who have crossed her.[1]
